The Xerox 8265 Color Wide-Format Printers is designed for wide-format shops, commercial printers and in-plant operations and prints images up to 65-inches wide. The 8265 uses piezo-electric, drop-on-demand inkjet heads with dynamic variable dot imaging and intelligent interweaving print technology to deliver sharp images, smooth color transitions and increased performance with higher firing frequencies. Output providers can choose the Xerox Wide Format Color Server Pro RIP or Xerox Wide Format Color Server RIP as color server options.

One of the new jobs that Digitech was able land by having the 8265 in house was the Rochester Downtown Beautification Program. "The city of Rochester was sprucing up their downtown area by having large photographic images mounted to some of the abandoned buildings. Having the 8265 enabled us to get that job over a much bigger shop in the Midwest because we were able to compete on price. In addition, being located in Rochester saved us shipping any of the materials and, thus, a faster turnaround time. It was great to land that project because we were able to help give back to our local community," Morales points out.

"Since we’ve installed the printer last October, it has opened up an entirely new set of print markets for us; some that we weren’t able to crack in the past. It has complemented our current capabilities and has expanded our list of graphic communications color wide-format services," says Gilbert.
